The Nine Major Errors Commonly Occurring in Machining
Manufacturing errors in machine tools primarily include spindle rotational error, guideway error, and drive-train error. Spindle rotational error refers to the deviation of the spindle’s instantaneous axis of rotation from its mean axis of rotation, and it directly affects the dimensional accuracy of the workpiece being machined.

What is the difference between CNC machine tools and conventional machine tools?
A machine tool is a machine that makes other machines, and it is also a machine that can manufacture machine tools themselves. Turning, milling, planing, grinding, boring, drilling, electrical discharge machining, shearing, bending, laser cutting, and many other processes are all examples of machining methods. In essence, machining involves transforming a metal blank into the desired part geometry, with attention to both dimensional accuracy and geometric accuracy. Any equipment capable of performing these functions is referred to as a machine tool. CNC machine tools evolved from conventional machine tools; they are highly precise, high-efficiency, automated machine tools. The term “CNC” stands for “computer numerical control.”
What lies ahead for China’s machine tool industry?
China’s machine tool industry has long been characterized by being large in scale but weak in competitiveness, with a market dynamic marked by the erosion of high-end segments and intense price-based competition at the low end, coupled with subpar precision and reliability. The chronic technological shortcomings of domestically produced machine tools have persisted for a long time.
Smart manufacturing, vigorously promoted in the aviation sector.
As early as September last year, the Aviation Base partnered with Tencent to jointly establish the Xi’an Aviation Big Data Center. Taking “aviation industry + industrial internet” as the breakthrough point, the initiative aims to dismantle information silos, integrate industry resources, foster seamless collaboration among aviation enterprises, and drive quality improvement, efficiency gains, and transformation and upgrading of China’s indigenous aviation industry.
In the Intelligent Era, Flexibility Takes the Lead
Under the theme “Smart Huachen: A Journey of Leadership,” this Technology Experience Day brought together domestic and international technical experts from Fastems to provide an in-depth analysis of the research, development, and application of flexible manufacturing technologies. The event also included an immersive visit to the Huachen Precision Equipment factory, featuring live demonstrations of fully operational flexible production lines and firsthand insights from frontline technicians, offering a comprehensive, multi-faceted showcase of cutting-edge technologies centered on intelligent manufacturing and flexible automation. The event attracted more than 70 guests, including representatives from end-user companies, partners, and numerous domestic media outlets, and was a resounding success.
China’s First Additively Manufactured Impact-Type Hydro Turbine Runner Prototype Successfully Developed
Additive manufacturing technology is hailed as one of the key technologies driving the “Third Industrial Revolution” and has become an important means of accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing sector. Harbin Electric Group Motor Company entered this field as early as 2013, making it one of the first domestic organizations to conduct research on the application of 3D printing technology. In 2015, the company successfully manufactured China’s first non-metallic 3D-printed model runner suitable for hydraulic testing of model turbines, thereby completing the feasibility study and preliminary R&D on metal 3D-printing technology for model runners.
